About Terence Keegan

Terence Keegan advises clients on media and intellectual property and commercial litigation; copyright and trademark matters; defense against defamation and other publication torts; newsgathering issues; and prepublication review.

Before joining the firm, Terence Keegan worked as a law clerk for the litigation and intellectual property groups of Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz PC. Prior to and during law school, Mr. Keegan worked as a reporter and editor for various publications covering the media and entertainment industries. He reported on digital distribution and licensing for Variety in Los Angeles, and edited a trade magazine on the global packaged media business, for which he launched a bilingual English-Chinese edition.

Terence Keegan is admitted to practice in New York State courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He received a B.A. with high honors from Rutgers College, and graduated cum laude from New York Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the school’s Law Review. He is a member of the Media Law Resource Center, Copyright Society of the USA, American Bar Association’s Forum on Communications Law, and New York State Bar Association.
